Some of you may wonder why I’m so passionate about justice and hope and survival. This video will give you some context: I am here today because I lived through the horrible events of April 4, 2002.I am here today because I fought through many days of hopelessness, injustice, and guilt and shame over something I certainly didn’t cause.

I am here today to be a voice for those who can’t speak up because they’re too afraid or alone or paralyzed by darkness.

I am here today to bring together friends and family and community for those who feel they don’t have or deserve anyone around them.

I am here today to help bring about Hopeful Healing.

This is my story. This is why I’m here today.
