Unfortunately, there are some people who are so miserable and so rotten to the core that even during the Holidays they can’t find an ounce of Christian charity within their wretched souls.
To the contrary, they are so cynical that they scoff at all the frolic and frenzy of the season and think the rest of us as fools. It seems that something in the season (maybe it’s in the alcohol) brings out their genuine meanness and they are eager to spread it around evenly.
Is it a chemical imbalance or did they forget to take their medication? Or maybe it’s a hormonal deficiency. I don’t know, but honestly, I think these people take great delight in trying to wreck someone else’s day. They ain’t happy and they’re not gonna allow anyone else to be happy either.
It’s been said that war brings out the very best – and worst – in people. Well, I think it’s the same with Christmas and the Holidays.
Holiday Tips: If you’re hosting a dinner party, make sure not to seat this type of person next to someone who has an explosive personality. You’re better off pulling the pin on a grenade and dropping it into your salsa & guacamole dip.
What will you talk about? Did I just walk into hurricane Terrets? Am I at the right party? The best thing you can do is tell the person you’re going to mingle . . you know it rhymes with jingle as in jingle bells and then slip away quickly. Slip out the back Jack because they will make you feel crummy. They will vomit all that’s within them, all the rot that’s been accumulating all year long. And when you see that vomit projectile you will swear they are doing a remake of the Exorcist – Part II
But the Holidays are generally fun. Another tip: If a couple members of the family have not been getting along in recent years, don’t invite them to the same party unless you want your special dinner to end up like the one in the clip.
