Do you remember being a kid sitting at the kid’s table on Thanksgiving?

Ignoring the adults bickering, talking politics, and even drinking way too much! And, just having fun with the other kids, talking about your Grandma’s gross unknown mixed salad or those weird looking brussels sprouts and waiting for the unlimited amount of dessert’s and finally the time arrives to go outside and play!

Yes, as adults now, I am asking you to bring the inner child out and bring it to the adult table this year! No political conversations, no gossip or talking smack about other family members, friends, or co-workers, and just be silly, talk about what it was like at the kids table, tell a silly-funny joke, draw and color your hand as a turkey of course, and talk about faith, gratitude, and all the blessings that you are gifted with and be present without the cell phones and technology..!!!. Share a moment of silence for all those we have lost this year and for those closest to us that are only with us in spirit. Embrace the next breath that you all take while at the table and mention how we forget it is not guaranteed. Have fun, life is too short, and it’s time to be grateful, silly, fun, hopeful, and again thankful!

Turn off your cell phones…. if only for the time seated at the table!

And, before the end of this week, reach out to someone you haven’t spoken to in a long time, and if you had a falling out with someone-anyone, let that person know you are sorry (even if you didn’t do anything wrong) release the negativity and resentment and share a little care, peace, joy, concern, and love.

And, last but not least, pray for me and yours and for yourself!

With Faith, there is Hope… God Bless… Happy Blessed Thanksgiving!!!
