So in a previous blog, The Costco Experience, I spoke about all of the wonderful products and services that Costco offers and usually at a discounted price. Well my friends, did you know you can buy See’s Candies there too?!
That’s right. This national treasure known for its fun and elegant assortment of delicious chocolates can now be bought there. Well, sort of – here’s how it works.
In the very front center part of the store right past the snack foods area you’ll find some cardboard redemption tickets about 8” x 10” with See’s Candies info written on them. You are purchasing two 1 pound boxes for $13.49 per lb. and the redemption tickets are all the same. Take the ticket/s to the checkout stand as you would any other item and you’ll be rung up for $26.99 for the two 1 lb. boxes of chocolate. Since See’s sells their 1 lb. box of chocolates for $18.50, that’s a $10 savings right there – about a 27% discount!
Next, take your receipt to the redemption area right past the checkout stands about 15 feet away. It’s the same area customers pick up jewelry and small items like that. You’ll receive two Gift Certificates; one for each box of candy.
Then, go to a See’s store near you to trade your Certificates in for the real deal, or you can simply make gifts of the Certificate/s. Either way, you save big time.
FYI – If you’re not a Costco member, still, receive $5 off. Yes, See’s Candies is running a special promotional offer from 4/6/2015 to 5/10/2015; when you make an in-store purchase of $25 or more, you’ll receive $5 off – a 20% discount!
You can pick up the coupon cards at any See’s Candies store – oh, and while you’re there, why don’t you treat yourself to one of the free sample chocolates they hand out. It will put a smile on your face.
*I’m pretty sure that the $5 off coupon does not apply to the Costco purchase because it clearly states that it cannot be combined with other offers or discounts. But either way, you come out a winner.
This is a real sweet deal for chocolate lovers.
