Izzy, May You Rest in Peace…
February 10, 2003 – December 13, 2014
My heart is broken and you will be forever missed…
You were an awesome dog that I loved with all my heart and I know you loved me too. You were a loyal dog who protected me and kept me safe.
I believe he felt it was his job, and he did it well!
He was so full of life, and even towards the end he didn’t want to give up, bless his heart.
He had diabetes, cushing’s disease, arthritis and was recently diagnosed with cataracts and was blind in both eyes. I did EVERYTHING possible to make it better and just couldn’t!
Finally, I asked my vet if she thought it was time to put him down, and she said, as a friend, it is time. It totally broke my heart, but I realized too, that it was his time to go to heaven. He went down so peacefully in my arms. Part of me was happy for him that he did not have to be in any kind of pain anymore, but a bigger part of me felt soooo bad and sad, like I gave up on my dog, or I let him down in some way.
My Izzy was the Best Dog Ever! He was and always will be part of my family! I love him so much and will always remember him! And all of the good times we shared together these past 11 1/2 Years!
You are in Heaven now and someday, I will be with you again, until that time, May God Bless You, Izzy…!!!
