Patricia Wenskunas

Patricia Wenskunas is the founder of Crime Survivors, Inc., a nonprofit organization that supports individuals and families affected by violent crime. She started the organization based on the belief that with compassion, community, and hope, healing is possible after trauma.

Patricia’s motivation comes from her own personal experience as a survivor of a violent crime in 2002. After facing both the trauma of the attack and the challenges that followed, she chose to use her voice to help others move from feeling like victims to becoming survivors.

Over the years, Patricia has quietly supported efforts to improve the way victims are treated, including her involvement in early conversations around Marsy’s Law in California. She’s also been involved with several other community and victim support groups, working behind the scenes to make a difference.

Outside of her advocacy, Patricia has run a local catering and event planning business, combining creativity with a passion for bringing people together.

Patricia continues to speak at schools, churches, community groups, and support organizations, offering encouragement to others who may be struggling. She hopes to remind others that even in the darkest moments, there is still a path forward.

Her guiding belief is simple: “With Faith, there is Hope.”
