I hope this letter finds you and your family safe and healthy during the recent challenges of 2020.
It is with deep sadness that Crime Survivors announces the cancellation of this year’s gala event. This follows the switching of two run/walk events to virtual online events and the cancellation of other fundraisers this year. These were critical to our budget.
The need to raise funds to provide support services for victims of crime, has not been cancelled. We anticipate and are preparing for the flood of cases that will appear once the Safer at Home order is completely lifted, and more victims can reach out for help. Without the opportunity to host our annual fundraisers, achieving the goal of raising the $100,000 this year is vital to the survival of so many vulnerable children and adults who rely on us, and you, for their hope and healing.
In lieu of attending the gala, I ask you to consider donating what you can to our fund. Also, if your workplace, friends, or others can contribute, that would be appreciated, too. If you have an idea for a social-distancing, safe fundraiser, we welcome your ideas. Please email info@crimesurvivors.org or call (844) 853-HOPE. www.crimesurvivors.org
We, like many of you, are working hard every day to save our neighbors, friends, and even strangers who suffer the after-effects of crime. We hope you can offer financial assistance to help us help others.
With gratitude for your support,
Patricia Wenskunas
