Before starting Crime Survivors, I had a successful catering & event planning business by the name Creative Coordinating. I already had established a loyal clientele. Things were going well. At that time it was my sole source of income.

After starting CSI in 2003, much of my time was dominated by getting it up and running. For the first 6 years I never took a dime. Afterwards I started taking a salary – after all, my catering business really took a back seat – but more than that I was averaging 80 hour weeks with CSI. Very time consuming.

I would’ve probably bowed out from CSI because of the exhausting hours and politics involved but there were always signs along the road. So I stayed the course. I don’t regret any of it since it has been the joy and passion of my life. If I were to win the Lotto tomorrow, I wouldn’t change a thing. I would probably increase programs and events. I would still enjoy coffee and conversation with dear friends, chocolate, my son and grandchildren, and life in general. Okay … maybe a larger SUV to stash more toys for kids. And maybe an occasional trip here and there. But that’s it.

I am truly blessed and so very grateful!!! Thank You!!!

Today, I’m taking the time to thank God for this journey and thanking the CSI Sponsors, Donors and all Supporters that continue to walk this journey with me side by side strengthening me personally and all victims, survivors, families and our surrounding communities. Making a Difference! Muah!!!
